NDA:- National Defence Academy is the joint services academy of the Indian Armed Forces , where cadets of the three services The Army, The Navy, and The Airforce train together before they go on the respective service academies for further pre-commissioning training .The NDA  is located in Khadakwasla ,Pune Maharashtra .It is the first tri-service academy in the world.

To be eligible for NDA a candidate must be either one of the following :-

  • A citizen of India
  • A subject of Nepal
  • A subject of Bhutan
  • A tibetan refugee who moved to India ,before January 1,1962 with the Intention of setting here permanently .

AGE LIMIT AND MARITAL STATUS :- It should be clearly noticed that only unmarried male candidates can apply .

  • Age limit should be 16 half to 19 half .

QUALIFICATION:- The candidate should be 12th passed out.

The NDA entrance exam is held twice a year, generally in the months of April and September. This examination is conducted by the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission).

As more and more advanced technology is used in armed forces, candidates with physics and mathematics subjects are preferred. If a candidate aspires to be an army officer from early age, he should start working hard from class X to make sure that he can opt for non-medical stream in higher classes. However, students from humanity background should not get disheartened as they can also appear in the National Defence Academy examination.
